How do I become a PADI Open Water Diver?
We start off with developing a strong base of dive knowledge from dive gear to the basic science behind diving. We have two options for this section of the course. You can take it with our elite instructors who walk you through the book work and answer any questions you might have throughout the course. This traditional class courses takes place on Tuesday and Thursday at Planet Scuba. If you are tight on time and need a little more flexibility in your schedule, we now offer the awesome PADI online-learning course which allows you to complete all of your book work at your own pace from home.
After the classroom session we will jump into the pool and learn the skills necessary to be an exceptional diver. Our experienced staff will guide you in a protected environment to give you a chance to develop essential dive skills. In the pool you will get acquainted with scuba diving gear, learn emergency maneuvers to prepare you as well as master flying through the water.
From there you are invited to accompany our excellent staff on trips to San Carlos or Lake Pleasant to complete your check-out dives. Four dives over the span of two days full of fun while demonstrating your excellent skills as a new diver. This is your chance to show off your skills and complete your journey to becoming an open water diver. Options to complete your certification in more exotic locations are available such as Maldives, Wakatobi and Saint Croix. Call or come on in to inquire about how to complete your certification abroad
